Music Production and Remixes
I produce and remix primarily electronic music in a variety of styles from commercial pop-dance through to underground house and bass genres.
Following my Popular Music degree I worked as an in-house producer for UK dance label Almighty, where I learnt my craft, before striking out on my own. Through them I was involved in mixes ranging from Cilla Black to rock band Reigning Days, and have since worked with many up-and-coming artists on production, songwriting, and remixes including Dan Cooper, RIVES, and Jon Canem. I also had two remixes of Danish pop band Nelson Can featured on an Alcopop compilation album.
I work out of my home studio set-up based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, which is stocked with professional equipment based around an Apple Mac running Logic Pro X and Ableton Live software. I employ high-end plug-ins and software instruments from the likes of Waves, Native Instruments, Izotope, and ReFx, monitor on KRK speakers, and have a variety of instruments and microphones set up ready to record when inspiration strikes.
I am available for remix work, songwriting and pre-production for new artists, mastering, and music production for your next single, EP, or album.
Music Leading
I work as a Senior Music Leader for The Music Works, a young persons charity based in Gloucester. My work is mainly with young people facing mental health challenges, disability and neurodivergence. In 2025 I won the Youth Music Award for Inspirational Music Leader, sponsored by The Musicians Union.
Session Work
I play electric guitar, keyboards and bass guitar and can be employed to provide such parts for your own projects, whether recorded or for live performance.
Live Performance
As well as recorded music production I am a regular live performer involved with a number of bands and outfits. I am currently the Musical Director for EDM Alive (00’s dance music tribute), play guitar with London/Cheltenham-based singer Sophie Latimer (pop, jazz, r&b), and am one half of live mashup band Kaiju Blue (electronic / party / mashups). I also make, release, and perform my own music as Charlie Baxter (electronic / pop), grownuplife (electronic / future-bass / synthwave).
